Coalition Principles
Fundamental Principles of the Syrian Coalition
The Syrian Coalition is committed to the national, fundamental principles of the Syrian Revolution on which its legitimacy is based. These principles include most importantly:
Preserving Syria's national sovereignty and the independence of the Syrian national decision.
Preserving Syria's territorial integrity.
Preserving the unity of the Syrian people.
Seeking to overthrow the Assad regime with all its symbols and pillars, dismantling its security apparatus and bodies and holding perpetrators of crimes against the Syrian people to account.
Establishing a democratic pluralistic Syria.
Political Framework
… Achieving the objectives of the revolution in achieving justice, freedom, and dignity, as well as sparing the country from any further devastation and preserving the [territory] of Syria in order to achieve a transition to a civil and democratic system that ensures equal rights for all Syrians.
Bashar Assad and security leadership who are responsible for the current destruction of the country are outside the political process and must be held accountable for their crimes.
All [Syrians] will be part of any future political solution, including those currently serving with the state institutions, Baathists, political, civil and social forces as long as they did not participate in any crimes committed against other Syrians. How to cite this document
