ونحن، في الجمهورية الإسلامية الموريتانية، عملاً بمقتضى هذا الالتزام، جعلنا من تحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة، هدفاً مركزياً تتكامل في العمل على تحقيقه كل سياساتنا العمومية.
وقد تمكنا، وإن بنحو طفيف، من تحسين مؤشرات العديد من أهداف التنمية المستدامة في بلادنا […].
وما ذاك إلا بفضل ما بذلناه من جهد مكثف في سبيل تكريس دولة القانون والمؤسسات القوية، وترقية الديمقراطية والحريات الفردية والجماعية، واعتماد سُنّة الحوار والتشاور أسلوباً ثابتاً لإدارة الشأن العام، ودعم استقلالية القضاء، واعتماد الشفافية، ومحاربة الرشوة وكل أشكال الفساد.
وكذلك بفضل جهودنا المتواصلة لحماية وترقية حقوق الإنسان، من خلال مكافحة مخلفات الرق وأشكاله الحديثة، والاتجار بالبشر، وحماية حقوق المرأة والطفل.
